    ١٣٨ - س: أحمد بن المعلى بن يزيد الأَسَدِيُّ أبو بكر الدِّمَشْقِيُّ نائب أبي زرعة في قضائها. روى عن: سليمان بن عبد الرحمن، وصفوان بن صالح. وختنه دحيم، وأبو داود السجستاني وغيرهم. روى عنه: النسائي، وابن جوصا، والطبرانى، وخيثمة، وأبو ميمون البجلي، وأبو علي الحضائري وغيرهم. قال محمد بن يوسف الهروي: مات في شهر رمضان سنة (٢٨٦). قلت: قال النسائي: لا بأس به.
