[٨٧٨٩] (تمييز) أبو العدَبَّس الأكبر، اسمه: منيع بن سليمان الأسدي، ويقال: الأشعري الكوفي. روى عن عمر. وعنه: أبو الوَرْقاء سالم بن مِخْرَاق، وعاصم الأحول، وعاصم بن بهدلة. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬١). كذا فرق بينهما أبو حاتم، وابن منده وهو الصواب، وجعلهما أبو أحمد الحاكم واحدًا (¬٢) وهو وهْم (¬٣).
