    [٨٥٤٣] (بخ س) أبو جعفر الفرّاء الكوفي، قيل: اسمه كيسان، وقيل: سلمان، وقيل: زياد. روى عن: أبي أمية الفزاري وله صحبة، وعبد الله بن شداد بن الهاد، وعبد الله بن يزيد الخَطْمِي، وعبد الرحمن بن جُدْعان، وعكرمة، وأبي سلمان المؤذن، وأبي ليلى الكندي، وغيرهم. وعنه: ابناه: إسحاق وعبد الحميد، وشعبة، وسفيان، وإسرائيل، وإسماعيل بن زكرياء، وشريك.قال الآجري، عن أبي داود: ثقة. وذكره ابن حبان (¬١) في "الثقات" (¬٢).
