    [٧٨٩٤] (خ) الوليدُ بن عبد الرحمن بن حبيب بن عِلْبَاء (¬٣) بن حبيب بن الجارود العبدي الجارُوْدي، البصري. روى عن: شعبة، وحماد بن زيد وأبي طلحة الرَّاسِبي، وغيرهم. وعنه: ابنه - المنذر، وقال: مات في جُمَادى الآخرة سنةَ ثنتين ومائتين (¬٤). وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬٥). قلت: وكنَّاه البخاريُّ عن ابنه: أبا العباس (¬٦). وقال الدرقطني: ثقة (¬٧).
