[٧٥٣١] (س) نُبَاتة الوالِبِي - ويقال الجعفي -، كوفي. روى عن: عمر بن الخطاب، وسويد بن غفلة. وعنه: الأسود بن يزيد، وعاصم بن كليب. قال أبو حاتم: كان معلِّمًا على عهد عمر (¬٥).وذكره ابن حِبَّان في "الثِّقات"، وقال: كان من المعلِّمين على عهد عمر (¬١). وقال الدَّارقطني: الأصبغ بن نُبَاتة يروي عن علي، ونُبَاتة بن الجعد جعفيٌّ (¬٢) يروي عن عمر. المحدِّثون يقولون بضمِّ النُّون، وسمعت أبا بكر ابن الأنباري يقول (¬٣): هما بفتح النُّون (¬٤).
