    [٧٠٨٦] (تمييز) المُشْمَعِل بن مِلْحان الطائي القَيْسي الكوفي نزيل بغداد. روى عن محمد بن عمرو بن علقمة، والنَّضر بن أبي عمر الخَزَّاز، وصالح بن حيان، وعبدالملك بن هارون بن عنترة، ومحمد بن عبيدالله العَرْزَمي، والحَجَّاج بن أرطاة، وغيرهم. روى عنه: أبو العوام الرِّياحي، وبشر بن آدم الضرير، ومهدي بن حفص، وأبو إبراهيم التَّرْجُمَاني، وإسحاق بن أبي إسرائيل، وغيرهم.قال إبراهيم بن الجُنَيد، عن ابن معين: ما أرى كان به بأس (¬١). وقال الدارقطني: ضعيف (¬٢). وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬٣) (¬٤).
