[٦٦٩٨] (س) محمد بن معن بن نضلة بن عمرو الغفاري، جدُّ الذي قبله أبو معن.مشهور بكنيته. روى عن: أبيه، وزهرة (¬١) بن معبد، وغيرهما. روى عنه: ابن المبارك، وابنه معن بن محمد، وحفيده محمد بن معن. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬٢). روى له النسائي حديثًا واحدًا قد ذكرناه في الكنى (¬٣)، ووهم المصنف فترجم لعبد الواحد بن أبي موسى (¬٤) وقد بيّنا ذلك في الكنى كما سيأتي (¬٥).
