[٦٤٩٥] محمد بن عبيد (¬٥) بن محمد بن ثعلبة بن حميد العامري الكوفي، المعروف بالحِمَّاني، يُعرف بالحُوت (¬٦). روي عن: أبيه، وعبد الحميد بن عبد الرحمن الحِمَّاني، وإبراهيم بن محمد الضَّبِّي، وجعفر بن محمد الأنطاكي، وعمر بن عُبَيد الطَّنَافِسِي. روى عنه: ابن ماجه، وأحمد بن يحيى بن زهير التُّسْتَرِي، ومحمد بن عبد الله بن رُسته الأصبهاني، وعلي بن العباس البجلي المَقَانِعِي، ويحيى بن محمد بن صاعد، وحاجب بن أَرْكِين الفَرْغاني، وعبد الرحمن بن محمد بن حَمَّاد بن الطهراني، وغيرهم. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬٧).
