[٦٣٥٠] (تمييز) محمد بن عاصم الثَّقَفيّ، الأَصبَهانيّ، العَابد، صاحبُ ذاكَ الجُزءِ العالي. روى عن: سفيان بن عُيينة، سمع منه بعد التَّغَير، وعن حُسين بن علي الجُعفِيّ، ومحمد بن بِشْر العَبدِيّ، وأبي أُسَامة، وطبقتهم. روى عنه: جعفر بن أحمد بن فارس وإبراهيم بن أورمة، و (¬٥)، وعبد الله بن جعفر بن أحمد بن فارس، وهو آخر من حَدَّث عنه.توفي سنة اثنتين وستين ومائتين، وهو مُتقدِّمُ الطَّبقة عن الذي قبلَهُ.
