[٥٨٨٩] (ت) قَيس بن مَخْرَمة بن المُطَّلب بن عبد مَنَاف بن قُصَيِّ المُطَّلبيّ، أبو محمد، ويُقال: أبو السَّائب المكِّيّ. كان من المؤلفةِ قُلوبهم، وممن حَسُن إسلامه منهم. روى عن: النَّبي ﷺ، وعن قُبَاث بن أَشيَم. وعنه: ابنه عبد الله، تقدَّم حديثه في قُبَاث (¬٢). قلتُ: وروى عنه أيضًا ابنه محمد. • [قيس بن مَرثَد، في قيس الجُذَاميّ] (¬٣).
