[٥٥١٥] (د) عَوْنُ بنُ كَهْمَس بنِ الحَسَن التميمي، أبو أبو يحيى البصري. روى عن: أبيه، وبِشْرِ بنِ عُمير، وهشام بنِ حسان، وأبي الأَسْود الطُّفَاوي، وسُليمان التيمي، وشعبة، وغيرِهم. روى عنه: أحمد بنُ عبدِ الله بنِ علي بنِ سُوَيد بنِ مَنْجُوف، وخليفة بنُ خياط، وبندار، وأبو موسى، ومحمد بنُ يحيى القُطَعِي، وغيرُهم. قال حَرب عن أحمد بنِ حنبل: لا أَعْرِفه (¬٥). وقال الآجري عن أبي داود: لم يَبْلغني إلا الخير (¬٦).وذكره ابنُ حبان في"الثقات" (¬١).
