[٥٣٩٨] (ر) عَمرُو بنُ مَنْصور القَيْسِي، البَصري، القَدَّاح. روى عن: هشام بن حَسان، ومُبارك بن فَضالة، وشُعْبَة، وَوُهَيْب بنخالد، وأبي هِلال الراسبي، وخَلِيفَة بن خَيَّاط - جَدٌ شباب -، وعبد الواحِد بن زيد البَصري، وجماعة. وعنه: البخاري في كتاب "الأدب" (¬١)، وفي "جزء القراءة خلف الإمام" (¬٢)، والحسنُ بنُ محمد الزَّعْفَراني - وكنَّاه أبا عثمان -، وأبو حاتم، ويعقوب بنُ سُفيان، وسَهْل بنُ بَحْر الجُنْدَيْسابوري (¬٣)، ومحمدُ بنُ عاصِم الأَصْبَهاني، وغيرهم. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬٤). وقال ابن أبي عاصم: مات سنة خمس عشرة ومئتين.
