    [٥٢٢٠] (بخ عس) عمر بن الفضل السّلميّ، ويُقال: الحَرَشِيّ البصريّ. روى عن: نُعيم بن يزيد، ورَقَبَة بن مَصْقَلة، وأبي العلاء بن الشِّخِّير، وحبَّة بنت عبد الله. وعنه: ابن المبارك، ويحيى القطَّان، وحَرَميّ بن عُمارة، وعبد الملك بن بشير السَّامي، وأبو نُعيم، وأبو عمر الحَوْضِي. عمر الحَوْضِي، وغيرهم. قال ابن المديني، عن يحيى بن سعيد: عمر بن الفضل أحبُّ إليَّ من المختار بن عمرو (¬٤). وقال ابن معين: ثقة (¬٥). وقال أبو حاتم: شيخ (¬٦).وذكره ابن حبان في "الثِّقات" (¬١).
