    [٥١٣٠] (ت) عمر بن حفص بن صَبيح، ويُقال: بزيادة عمر بين حفص وصَبيح (¬٥)، أبو الحسن، الشيبانيّ، اليمانيّ، ثم البصريّ. روى عن: أبيه، وابن وَهب، وابن مَهدي، وأبي داود الطَّيالِسِيّ، والقطَّان، وحجَّاج بن نُصير، والعلاء بن عمرو الحَنَفِيّ، وغيرِهم. وعنه: التِّرمذيّ، وابن خُزيمة، والبُجَيريّ، وجعفر بن أحمد بن محمد بن الصَّبَّاح الجَرْجَرَائيّ، ومحمد بن الليث الجَوهريّ، ومحمد بن يعقوب الخطيب الأهوازيّ، وأبو عَروبة الحرَّانيّ، وغيرُهم.ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬١). مات في حدود سنة خمسين ومئتين. قلتُ (¬٢): واحتج به ابنُ خزيمة في "صحيحه" (¬٣).
