[٤٩١٥] (عس) عِلْباء بن أبي عِلْباء. عن: عَلِيّ بن أبي طالب. وعنه: ابن أخيه عمرو بن غُزَيٍّ. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬٥). وقد قيل: إنَّه ابن أحمر المذكور قَبْلُ. قلتُ: فرَّق بينهما البخاريُّ، وذكر في هذا أنَّه كوفيّ (¬٦)، وأمَّا الأول فذكر محمد بن نصر في "قيام الليل" (¬٧) أنَّه كان بمرو، وكان إذا غربت الشمس صلَّى ركعتين قبل المغرب، فكأنّ حسين بن واقد حَمَل عنه بمرو، وكأنَّه تحوّل إليها مِن البصرة.وقرأتُ بخط الذَّهبيّ: لا يُدرى مَن هُو (¬١).
