    [٤٨٠٦] (ع) عُرْوَة بن المغيرة بن شُعبة الثَّقَفِيّ، أبو يَغْفور الكوفيّ (¬٣). روى عن: أبيه، وعائشة. وعنه: الشَّعبيّ، وعَبَّاد بن زِياد، ونافع بن جُبَير بن مُطِعم، وبَكْر بن عبد الله المزَنيّ، والحسن البصريّ، وغيرُهم. قال البخاريّ: قال الشَّعبيّ: كان خيرَ أهلِ بيته (¬٤). وقال العِجْليّ: كوفيٌّ تابعيٌّ ثقة (¬٥) (¬٦). وقال خليفة بن خياط: ولَّاه الحجاجُ الكوفةَ سنةَ خمسٍ وسبعين، وذكره في تسمية عُمَّال الوليد على الصلاة بالكوفة سنة خمسٍ وتسعين (¬٧).قلتُ: وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬١)، وقال: كان مِن أفاضلِ أهلِ بيتِه.
