[٤٦٥٧] (خ م كد س ق) عِتْبَان (¬٩) بن مالك بن عمرو بن العجلان بن زيد بن غَنْم بن سالم بن عوف بن عمرو بن عوف بن الخزرج (¬١٠)، الأنصاري، السالمي، البدري.روى عن النبي ﷺ وعنه: أنس، ومحمود بن الربيع، والحُصَيْن بن محمد السالمي، وأبو بكر بن أنس بن مالك (¬١)، وأرسل عنه رِيَاح بن عَبِيْدَة. قال ابن عبد البر: لم يذكره ابن إسحاق في البدريين، وذكره غيره (¬٢)، ومات في خلافة معاوية (¬٣) (¬٤). قلت: وذكر ابن سعد أن النبي ﷺ آخى بينه وبين عمر بن الخطاب (¬٥).
