    [٤٦٥٦] (ق) عَتَّاب، مولى هرمز، ويقال (¬٤): ابن هرمز، بصري (¬٥).روى عن أنس في البيعة على السمع والطاعة (¬١) (¬٢). وعنه: شعبة. وَثَّقَهُ ابن معين (¬٣). وقال أبو حاتم: شيخ (¬٤). وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬٥). روى له ابن ماجه هذا الحديث الواحد. قلت: جزم البخاري بأنه عَتَّاب بن هرمز (¬٦). قلت: وقال الذهبي: ما علمت روى عنه سوى شعبة (¬٧) (¬٨).
