[٣٩١٣] (مد) عبد الأعلى بن عبد الله بن أبي فَرْوَة المَدنيُّ، مولى آل عثمان، أبو محمد. روى عن: المطَّلب (¬٤) بن عبد الله بن حَنْطَب، وزيد بن أسلم، وابن المُنكَدِر، والزهري وغيرهم. وعنه: سليمان بن بلال، والدَّرَاوَرْدي، والوليد بن مسلم، وحاتم بن إسماعيل، وابن وهب وعِدَّة. قال ابن معين: أولاد عبد الله بن أبي فَرْوَة كلُّهم ثقات إلا إسحاق (¬٥). له عنده في النَّهي عن التفرقة بين الوالد والوَلَد (¬٦).وذكره ابن حِبَّان في "الثقات" (¬١). قلت: وذكر ابن سعد أنه كان يُفتي (¬٢) (¬٣).
