    [٢٩٥٣] (بخ) شِهاب بنُ المُعَمَّر بن يزيد بن بلال العَوْفِيُّ، أبو الأَزْهَر البَلْخِيُّ، بصريُّ الأصل. روى عن: حمَّاد بن سَلَمة، وسَوَادة بن أبي الأَسْوَد، وفُرات بن السَّائب، وبَكْر بن سُلَيمان الأسواريِّ. وعنه: البخاري في "الأدب"، وأبو قُدَامة السَّرْخَسِيُّ، وعبد الله بن عبد الوَهَّاب الخُوَارزِميُّ، وعبد الصَّمد بن الفضل البَلْخِيُّ، وإسماعيل بن محمَّد بن أبي كَثِير القاضي، وابنُ أخيه أبو شِهاب مُعَمَّر بن محمَّد بن مُعَمَّر البَلْخِيُّ. ذكره ابن حِبَّان في "الثقات"، وقال: كان مُتيقِّظًا، حَسَنَ الحفظ الحديثِه (¬٢).
