    [٢٨٧٩] شَدَّاد بن أبي عَمْرو بن حِماس بن عَمْرو اللَّيثيُّ، المدنيُّ. روى عن: أبيه. وعنه: أبو اليَمان الرحَّال المدنيُّ.ذكره ابن حِبَّان في "الثقات" (¬١). روى له أبو داود حديثًا واحدًا: "ليس للنِّساء وَسَطُ الطَّريق" (¬٢). قلتُ: قال الدَّارقُطنيُّ في "العلل": لا يُعرف فيمن يُروى عنه الحديث، وأبوه معروف. وقال (¬٣) الذَّهبيُّ (¬٤): لا يُعرف هو ولا الرَّاوي عنه، (وأبو عَمْرو معروف) (¬٥) (¬٦).
