    [٢٨٤٣] (خ) سِيدان (¬٥) بن مُضارب الباهليُّ، أبو محمد البصريُّ. روى عن: حمَّاد بن زيد، ونُوح بن قَيس، وزياد بن الرَّبيع، ويزيد بن زُرَيع، وأبي مَعْشَر يوسف بن يزيد البَرَّاء، وغيرهم.وعنه: البخاري، ورَوْح بن عبد المؤمن - وهو من أقرانه-، وأبو جعفر محمَّد بن الخَضِر الرَّافقيُّ، وجعفر بن محمَّد الرَّقيُّ، وأبو حاتم، وقال: شيخ صَدُوق (¬١). وذكره ابنُ حِبَّان في "الثقات" (¬٢). قال البخاري: مات سنة أربع وعشرين ومئتين (¬٣). قلتُ: وسَمَّى جدِّه عبد الله بن مُطَرّف بن سيدان (¬٤). وقال الدَّرقُطني: ليس به بأس (¬٥).
