[١٠٢٢] (ق) جُمْهَان (¬٥) أبو العلاء، ويُقَال: أبو (¬٦)، يعلى، مَوْلَى الأسلميين، وقيل: مَوْلَى يعقوب القِبْطِيّ (¬٧)، يُعدُّ في أهل المدينة. روى عن: عثمان وسَعْد، وأبي هُرَيْرة، وأم بكرة الأسلمية. وعنه: عُرْوَة بن الزُّبَير، وعُمَر بن نبيه الكَعْبِيّ، ومُوسَى بن عبيدة، روى له ابن ماجه "حديثا وَاحِدًا في الصَّوْم" (¬٨).قلت: ذكره مسلم في "الطَّبقَة الأولى من أهل المدينة" (¬١). وذَكَرهُ ابنُ حِبَّانَ في "الثِّقَات" (¬٢). وقَالَ علي بن المَدِينيّ (¬٣): "هو جدُّ أمِّي، وكَان من السبي فيما أرى" (¬٤).
