[٩١١] (س) ثور بنُ عُفَير (¬٥) السدوسيّ، البَصْريّ، والد شقيق. روى عن: أبي هُرَيْرة في "الحجامة للصائم" (¬٦). وعنه: ابنه.قيل: استشهد بتُسْتَرَ (¬١) مع أبي مُوسَى الأشعري. قلت: كَانت تُسْتَرُ في خلافة عثمان، فكيف يتأخر حتى يروي عن أبي هُرَيْرة. وذَكَرهُ ابنُ حِبَّانَ في "الثِّقَات" (¬٢) فلم يقل السدوسي (¬٣). والَّذِي أظنه (¬٤) أن ثورًا هَذا غير ثور السدوسي، الَّذِي استَشْهد بتُسْتَر مع أبي مُوسَى. وأورده الذَّهَبيّ في "المِيزَان" قائلًا: ما روى عنه سوى ابنه (¬٥).
