    [٥٩٧] (خ م س) أمَيَّة بن بِسْطام بن المُنتشِر، العَيْشيّ، أبو بكر، البَصْريّ، ابن عمِّ يَزِيد بن زُريع. روى: عنه، وعن ابن عُيَيْنة، ومُعْتَمِر بن سُلَيْمَان، وبشر بن المفضَّل، وَغَيْرِهِم. وعنه: الشيخان، وروى عنه النَّسَائيّ بواسطة عُثْمَان بن خرزاد، وروى (¬٨) عنه أبو زُرْعَة، وأبو حَاتِم، والبُوشَنجيّ، وابن أبي عاصمٍ، والدُّورِيّ، وتمتام، والحسن بن سُفْيان، وأبو يعلى، وَغَيْرهُم.قَالَ أبو حَاتِم: "محلُّه الصِّدقُ، ومُحمَّد بن المنهَالِ أحبّ إليَّ منه" (¬١). وقَالَ ابن حبَّان في "الثِّقَات": "مَات سنة إحدى وثَلاثين ومِائَتَيْن" (¬٢).
