[٢٠] (م) أحمد بن جعفر، المعْقِريّ (¬٤)، أبو الحسن، نزيل مكّة، و"مَعْقِر": ناحيةٌ مِنَ اليَمَن (¬٥). روى عن: النّضر بن محمد (م)، وإسماعيل بن عبد الكريم بن مَعْقِل بن منبه.وعنه: مسلمٌ، والمفضَّل بن محمّد الجَنَديّ، ومحمد بن إسحاق بن العباس الفاكهيّ المكيّ. كان حيًّا سنة خمس وخمسين ومئتين. وذَكَرَ عبدُ الغنيّ في ترجمته أنّه روى عن سعيد بن بشير، وقيس (¬١) بن الربيع (¬٢)، وهو وهمٌ؛ فإنّه لم يدركهما (¬٣). قلتُ: إنّما روى عن النضر عنهما، وقال اللّالكائيُّ: يُكنى أبا أحمد (¬٤). (وفي "الزَّهْرة": روى عنه مسلمٌ أربعة) (¬٥).
