    ٦١٦ - يحيى بن حماد الطائي قال (٨): لم أعرفه. قلت: اسمه مُحَرَّف، وصوابه: جميل بن حماد الطائي، كما جاء على الصواب عند الطبراني في موضع آخر من "أوسطه" (٩).وترجم له ابن أبي حاتم في "الجرح والتعديل" (١)، وذكر له روايته عن عصمة بن زامل -شيخه في هذا الحديث- ورواية عبد الله بن عمر بن أبان عنه؛ وهو الراوي عنه حديثه هذا. وقال البرقاني في "سؤالاته للدارقطني" (٢): جميل بن حماد، عن عصمة بن زامل، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة؟ فقال -يعني الدارقطني-: هذا إسناد بدوي يخرج اعتبارًا. وتناوله ابن حجر في "اللسان" (٣)، وأورد فيه قول الدارقطني فحسب.
