٦٠٩ - الوليد بن حماد الرملي قال (٣): لم أعرفه. قلت: ترجم له الحافظ الذهبي في "السير" (٤)، وقال ما ملخصه: الوليد بن حماد بن جابر الحافظ، أبو العباس الرَّملي، مؤلّف كتاب "فضائل بيت المقدس". كان ربانيًا، ذكره ابن عساكر مختصرًا، ولا أعلم فيه مغمزًا، وله أسوة غيره في رواية الواهيات، بقي إلى قريب الثلاث مئة. أهـ. ولذلك لما أورده الحافظ ابن حجر في "اللسان" (٥) لم يذكر فيه جرحًا بل اكتفى بإيراد حديث له، وأشار إلى أن الآفة من غيره.
