    الهيثم بن الجهم المؤذن. قال ابن أبي حاتم: الهيثم بن جهم، والد عثمان بن الهيثم المؤذن. روى عن: خزاعى بن زياد بن عَبد الله بن مغفل، وعاصم بن بهدلة. روى عنه: ابنه عثمان بن الهيثم وأبو حُذيْفة موسى بن مسعود، ومسلم بن إبراهيم، سمعت أبي يقول ذلك. نا عَبد الرّحمن قال: سألت أبي عنه فقال: لم أر في حديثه مكروها. "الجرح والتعديل" (٩/ ٨٣). وترجمه ابن حبَّان في "الثقات" (٩/ ٢٣٥): الهيثم بن جهم بن حسان بن المنذر مؤذن مسجد الجامع بالبصرة. يروي عن: عاصم بن بهدلة. روى عنه: يحيى بن كثير ابن دهرم، وابنه عثمان وقال الدَّارقطني في العلل (برقم: ٧٠٣): ثقة لا بأس به.*
