    معمر بن سهل الأهوازي. ترجمه ابن حبَّان في "الثقات" (٩/ ١٦٩): معمر بن سهل بن معُمر الأهوازى، شيخ متقن، يغرب. يروي عن: عُبيد الله بن موسى، ويزيد بن هارون، وأهل العراق. حدَّثنا عنه: عَبدان، وأهل الأهواز، سمعت محمد بن يعقوب بالأهواز يقول: سمعت معمر بن سهل يقول: سمعت جعفر بن عون يقول: سمع مِسْعر ابن كدام يقول: يسر الفتى ما كان قدم من تقى إذا عرف الداء الذي هو قاتله. انظر: "زوائد رجال صحيح ابن حبَّان".*
