محمد بن يحيى بن سهل أبي حتمة الحارثي. قال ابن أبي حاتم: محمد بن يحيي بن سهل بن أبي حثمة الأنصاري الحارثي الأوسي. أبو عَبد الله، روى عن: أبيه، وعمه أبي عفير. روى عنه: محمد بن إسحاق، سمعت أبي يقول ذلك. "الجرح والتعديل" (٨/ ١٢٣). وترجمه ابن حبَّان في "الثقات" (٥/ ٣٧٤): محمد بن يحيي بن سهل بن أبي حثمة بن ساعدة بن عامر بن عدى بن جشم، سمع: أنسًا. يروي عن: جماعة من التابعين. روى عنه: أهل المدينة كنيته أبو عَبد الله، مات في ولاية أبي جعفر وأمه ابنة عَبد الرّحمن بن لبيد بن قيظى. *
