    محمد بن عَمرو الغزي * (٦٦٨٢). قال ابن أبي حاتم: محمد بن عَمرو الغزى، من أهل غزة، وهو: ابن عَمرو ابن الجراح. روى عن: مالك بن أنس، والوليد بن مسلم، وضمرة بن ربيعة، ورواد بن الجراح. روى عنه: سعد بن محمد البيروتي، ومحمد بن خلف العسقلاني، وأبو زرعة الرّازي. نا عَبد الرّحمن قال سمعت أبا زرعة يقول: لم أر بالشام أفضل من محمد بن عَمرو الغزي، كان يأكل في ثمانية عشر يومًا مرة. نا عَبد الرّحمن قال: سئل أبي عنه، فقال: لا بأس به، لم أكتب عنه. "الجرح والتعديل" (٨/ ٣٣). قُلتُ: وذكره ابن حبَّان في "الثقات" (٩/ ٩٢). *
