محمد بن سعدان عن ابن عجلان. قال ابن أبي حاتم: محمد بن سعدان بن عَبد الله بن حيان، وهو: ابن جابر، من بنى عامر بن لؤي القرشي. روى عن: ابن عجلان، ويزيد بن أبى عُبيد، وأبيه. روى عنه: ابن عيسى والحُمَيدي، وإبراهيم بن المنذر، ومحمد بن الصلت، وعُمر بن على الأسفذني، سمعت أبي يقول ذلك. نا عَبد الرّحمن قال: سألت أبي عنه، فقال: كان يسكن مكة، قُلتُ: ما حاله؟ قال: شيخ. "الجرح والتعديل" (٧/ ٢٨٢). قُلتُ: وذكره ابن حبَّان في "الثقات" (٧/ ٤٣٢). *
