    محمد بن الرّبيع بن سليمان الجيزي المصري. يروي عن: أبيه، والرّبيع بن سليمان المرادي، ويونس بن عَبد الأعلى الصدفي، وبحر بن نصر، وغيرهم. روى عنه: جماعة منهم: أبو الحسن بن فراس المكي. قال السّمعاني: كان مقدما في شهود مصر، وشهد عند أبي عُبيد علي بن الحسين بن حرب، وغيره. "الأنساب" (٢/ ١٤٤). قُلتُ: وروى عنه: (الطَّبراني)، و (ابن الأعرابي) في "معجمه"، وذكره ابن زولاق تحت باب: من كان بمصر من عيون المحدثين المسندين (ص: ٣٤). *
