    غوث بن جابر بن غيلان * (٦٢٦٣). قال ابن أبي حاتم: غوث بن جابر بن غيلان بن منبه الصنعاني، وهو: ابن منبه بن كامل أبو محمد. روى عن: عقيل بن معقل. روى عنه: علي بن المديني، والحسن بن على الحلواني، سمعت أبي يقول ذلك. قال أبو محمد: روى عن: محمد بن داود عن أبيه عن وهب بن منبه. روى عنه: أحمد بن حنبل. ثنا عَبد الرّحمن أنا عَبد الله بن أحمد بن محمد بن حنبل فيما كتب إلي قال: سئل يحيى بن معين عن غوث بن جابر قال: لم يكن به بأس، ما كتبت عنه حديثًا قط، كان يروى حكمة وهب بن منبه. "الجرح والتعديل" (٧/ ٥٧). قُلتُ: وذكره ابن حبَّان في "الثقات" (٩/ ٢). *
