    ٣٨١ - علي بن عبد الرحمن الواسطي قال (٤): لم أعرفه. قلت: اسمه مُحَرَّف، وصوابه: مُعَلَّى بن عبد الرحمن الواسطي، ترجم له الحافظ المزّي (٥) في "تهذيبه"، وذكر رواية إبراهيم بن راشد عنه -وهو الراوي عنه حديثه هذا- وروايته عن عبد الحميد بن جعفر؛ وهو شيخه في هذا الحديث.
