عُبيد بن الغازي أبو ذهل. ترجمه ابن حبَّان في "الثقات (٨/ ٤٣٣): عُبيد بن الغازي، أبو ذهل، من أهل عسقلان. يروي عن: أبي عاصم. ثنا عنه: محمد بن أيوب بن مشكان بطبرية. قُلتُ: وأرخه ابن زبر في "مولد العلماء ووفياتهم" فقال: سنة تسع وسبعين ومائتين سمعت أبا عَبد الله محمد بن يوسف يقول: توفي بدمشق وأنا بها في سنة تسع وسبعين ومائتين ابن أبي جميل وفيها: مات .. أبو ذهل عُبيد بن الغازي. *
