    العبَّاس بن محمد بن العبَّاس أبو الفضل الفزاري، مولاهم المصري. حدَّث عن: محمد بن رمح، وزكريا كاتب العُمري، وأحمد بن صالح، وطبقتهم. روى عنه: أبو سعيد بن يونس، والطَّبراني، ولحقه الحافظُ أبو علي النيسابوري، وابن عدي. قال ابن يونس: أكثرت عنه، وكان يعرف بالبصري، ما رأيت أحدًا قط أثبت منه. قال الذَّهبي: الحافظُ المجود الناقد.قال ابن يونس: توفي في شعبان سنة ست وثلاث مئة.
