    سليمان بن قتة مولى جعدة بن هبيرة * (١٧٦٩). قال ابن أبي حاتم: سليمان بن قتة البصري. روى عن: أبي سعيد الخدري، وابن عُمر، وابن عبَّاس، وعَمرو بن العاص، ومعاوية. روى عنه: عاصم الجحدري، وموسى بن أبي عائشة وعَبد الرّحمن بن النُّعمان، وحميد الطويل، والعوام بن حمزة، سمعته أبي يقول ذلك. حدَّثنا عَبد الرّحمن نا محمد بن أحمد بن البراء قال: قال علي بن المديني سليمان بن قتة وقتة أمه. حدَّثنا عَبد الرّحمن قال: ذكره أبي عن إسحاق بن منصور عن يحيى بن معين قال: سليمان بن قتة ثقة.
