    سلم بن بشير بن حجل. قال ابن أبي حاتم: سلم بن بشير بن جحل. روى عن: عكرمة، ورجل عن أبي هريرة. روى عنه: عَبد الوهاب بن الورد، وأبو عوانة، وعَبد الوهاب الخفاف، وأبو عاصم العبَّاداني، سمعت أبي يقول ذلك. قال أبو محمد: روى عن: الحسن البصري. روى عنه: عكرمة بن إبراهيم قاضى الرّي. قال يحيى بن معين: سلم بن بشير بن جحل ليس به بأس. "الجرح والتعديل" (٤/ ٢٦٦). وترجمه ابن حبَّان في "الثقات" (٦/ ٤٢٠): سلم بن بشير بن جحل القيسي، من أهل البصرة. يروي عن: عكرمة، وعَبد العزيز بن صهيب. روى عنه: رقبة مسقلة، وأبو عاصم العبَّاداني، وهو الذي يروي عن أبي هريرة، ولم يره، بينه وبينه عكرمة. *
