    حميد بن مهران الخياط. قال ابن أبي حاتم: حميد بن مهران، وهو: حميد بن أبي حميد الخياط سنان، بصري. روى عن: الحسن، وابن سيرين، وقتادة، وخالد الرّبعي، وداود بن أبي هند، وسيف المازني. روى عنه: أبو داود الطيالسي، وأبو قتيبة، وأبو عاصم، ومسلم، سمعت أبي يقول ذلك. حدَّثنا عَبد الرّحمن قال: ذكره أبي عن إسحاق بن منصور الكوسج عن يحيى ابن معين أنه قال: حميد بن مهران ثقة. "الجرح والتعديل" (٣/ ٢٢٨). قُلتُ: وذكره ابن حبَّان في "الثقات" (٦/ ١٩١).*
