    حكيم بن يحيى المتوتي (المتوني) (٣٥٤٠). صوابه: حكيم بن يحيى المتوتي. انظر: جزء التّعليقات. ترجمه ياقوت في معجم البلدان مادة: (متوث): متوث بالفتح، ثم التشديد والضم، وسكون الواو، وآخره ثاء مثلثة قلعة حصينة بين الأهواز وواسط، قد نسب إليها جماعة من أهل العلم والحديث. قال أبو الفرج الأصبهاني: متوث مدينة بين سوق الأهواز وبين قرقوب اجتزتُ بها سنة ٧٢٣، ونسب المحدِّثون إليها جماعة منهم: … ، وحليم بن يحيى المتوتي. حدَّث عن: الحسن بن علي بن راشد الواسطي. روى عنه: الطَّبراني. قُلتُ: وصوابه: (حكيم) كما في المعجم، وغيره، وقد روى عنه (ابن قانع)في "معجمه" (٢/ ٣٦٥). انظر: "تكملة الإكمال" (برقم: ٩٥١٤). *
