    إسحاق بن حاتم العلاف. ترجمه الخطيب في "تاريخه" (٦/ ٣٦٥): إسحاق بن حاتم بن بيان العلاف المدايني. حدَّث ببغداد عن: يحيى بن سليم الطائفي، ويحيى بن المتوكل، وسفيان بن عيينة، وعَبد الوهاب بن عطاء روى عنه: يعقوب بن سفيان، وعَبد الله بن محمد بن ناجية، ومحمد بن أحمد ابن خالد البوراني، ويحيى بن محمد بن صاعد، والحسين بن إسماعيل المحاملي، وكان ثقة. قال محمد بن إسحاق السراج: مات إسحاق بن حاتم العلاف في شهر رجب أو شعبان سنة اثنتين وخمسين ومائتين ببغداد. *
