    إسحاق بن إبراهيم بن محمد الفروي. ذكر في "الجرح والتعديل" (٢/ ٢٣٣): إسحاق الفروي، هو: ابن محمد بن إسماعيل بن عَبد الله بن أبي فَرْوة القرشي أبو يعقوب. روى عن: عَبد الحكيم بن عَبد الله بن أبي فَرْوة، وعُبيدة بنت نابل، ومالك ابن أنس، ونافع بن أبي نعيم، سمعت أبي وأبا زرعة يقولان يعد في المدينيين. قال: وسمعت أبي يقول: كان صدوقًا، ولكنه ذهب بصره فربما لقن الحديث، وكتبه صحيحة، وكتب أبي، وأبا زرعة عنه، ورويا عنه. وانظر: "اللباب" لابن الأثير. *
