أحمد بن محمد بن عَبد العزيز بن الجعد أبو بكر الوشاء. سمع: محمد بن بكار بن الرّيان، وعَبد الأعلى بن حماد، وسويد بن سعيد، وأبا معُمر الهذلي، وأبا بكر بن أبي شيبة، ومحمد بن حميد الرّازي، وهارون ابن عَبد الله البزاز. روى عنه: محمد بن مخلد، وأبو بكر الشافعي، وأبو علي بن الصواف، وأبو الحسين بن القنبيطي، وغيرهم. قال الدَّارقطني: ليس به بأس. قال عيسى بن حامد القاضي: مات أبو بكر أحمد بن محمد بن عَبد العزيز بن الجعد الوشاء يوم السبت لاثنتي عشرة ليلة خلت من شعبان سنة إحدى وثلاثمائة، ودفن في مقابر الخيزران.
