    أحمد بن عَمرو الزَّئْبقي البصري. قال الذَّهبي: أحمد بن عَبدة الزئبقي، شيخ للطبراني.قال ابن ناصر الدين الدمشقي: -قُلتُ-: هو وَهمٌ وصوابه: أحمد الزئبقي عن عَبدة، وقد جوده الأمير فقال: أحمد بن عَمرو بن أحمد الجنفي أبو الحسين البصري الزئبقي. روى عن: عَبدة بن عَبد الله الصفار، وأبي يعلى المنقري، وأبيه. روى عنه: محمد بن علي الكاغدي، وأحمد بن محمد الأسفاطي، والطَّبراني. وقال الإسماعيلي في "معجمه": حدَّثنا أحمد بن عَمرو الزئبقي. "توضيح المشتبه" (٤/ ٣٢٧)، "معجم الإسماعيلي" (برقم: ١٤٤). قُلتُ: وروى عنه: (ابن الأعرابي) في "معجمه"، وكذا (ابن قانع) في "معجمه" (٢/ ٦٥)، وما جاء في "تاج العروس" محل نظر. *
