    ١٦٢٨ - محمود بن عمر بن محمود الزّمخشرىّ (¬**) الإمام الكبير، المضروب به المثل فى علم الأدب.لقى الفضلاء، وصنّف التصانيف: «التفسير»، و «غريب الحديث»، وغيرهما، وله «ديوان شعر». وشهرته تغنى عن الإطناب بذكره. ولد بزمخشر، قرية من قرى خوارزم، فى رجب، سنة سبع وستين وأربعمائة. وتوفّى بجرجانيّة خوارزم، ليلة عرفة، من سنة ثمان وثلاثين وخمسمائة. وأجاز للحافظ السّلفىّ (¬١). ***
