    أَبُو الحَسَن التَّهامي (٠٠٠ - ٤١٦ هـ = ٠٠٠ - ١٠٢٥ م) علي بن محمد بن نهد التهامي، أبو الحسن: شاعر مشهور، من أهل تهامة (بين الحجاز واليمن) زار الشام والعراق، وولي خطابة الرملة. ثم رحل إلى مصر، متخفيا، ومعه كتب من حسان بن مفرّج الطائي (أيام استقلاله ببادية فلسطين) إلى بني قرة (قبيل عصيانهم بمصر) فعلمت به حكومة مصر، فاعتقل وحبس في دار البنود(بالقاهرة) ثم قتل سرا في سجنه. وهو صاحب القصيدة التي مطلعها: " حكم المنية في البرية جاري ما هذه الدنيا بدار قرار " وله " ديوان شعر - ط " (١) .
