    ٧٧ - زهر بن عبد عوف ب د ع: أزهر بْن عبد عوف بْن عبد بْن الحارث بْن زهرة بْن كلاب بْن مرة القرشي الزُّهْرِيّ عم عبد الرحمن بْن عوف ووالده عبد الرحمن بْن أزهر الذي يروي عنه ابن شهاب. روى أَبُو الطفيل، عن ابن عباس، قال: امتريت أنا، ومحمد ابن الحنفية في السقاية، فشهد طلحة بْن عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، وعامر بْن ربيعة، وأزهر بْن عبد عوف، أن رَسُول اللَّهِ ﷺ دفعها إِلَى العباس يَوْم الفتح. وروى عُبَيْد اللَّهِ بْن عَبْد اللَّهِ: أن عمر بْن الخطاب بعث أربعة من قريش، فنصبوا أعلام الحرم: مخرمة بْن نوفل، وأزهر بْن عبد عوف، وسعيد بْن يربوع، وحويطب بْن عبد العزى. أخرجه ثلاثتهم.
