    ٢٢٦٢ - (¬١) -[أبو الحسين الواسطي] ومنهم المبارك بن محمد بن عبيد الله الواسطي القاضي أبو الحسين، شيخ كبير فاضل من أركان الفضلاء والفقهاء الحافظين للمذهب والخلاف، تفقّه ببلده وببغداد. قدم نيسابور واستوطنها، ودرّس في مدرسة الشيخ أبي العباس المشطي، وكان يتطيلس ويتجمل. سمع الحديث ولم يرو الكثير. توفي فجأة ضحوة يوم الخميس الرابع عشر من شهر ربيع الآخر سنة اثنتين وسبعين وأربع مئة [٩١ ب] وكان مولده كما أخبر سنة خمس وأربع مئة.
